Car Truck Collision on Route 222 in Lehigh County Kills 5

When big rigs are involved in crashes with cars, the results are often deadly. Five people were killed yesterday in a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Route 222 in Lehigh County. The vehicle, a Subaru Impreza, crossed the grassy median of the highway and crashed head-on with the tractor-trailer. According to police, both vehicles burst into flames upon impact and all five occupants of the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
