Fellerman & Ciarimboli Adds Estate and Wills Law Practice to its Firm

Attorney Alexander Russin joins the Firm to head new practice area.

Pennsylvania law firm Fellerman & Ciarimboli announced the addition of an estate and wills law practice to its firm.

Headed by Lead Counsel of Estate and Wills Alexander Russin, the practice area will handle all aspects of estate law, including: estate planning; the creation of wills and trusts; estate administration matters; power of attorney and advance healthcare directives; business succession planning; and planning of inheritance taxes.

According to a recent article in AARP, 60 percent of Americans don’t have either a will or living trust. The top two reasons why many have yet to complete any estate planning is because they either “hadn’t gotten around to it” or “don’t have enough assets to leave anyone.”

But it is important to make these decisions now, if not to protect your own assets, but to protect your loved ones, according to Fellerman & Ciarimboli Partner Gregory Fellerman. “Many people are afraid of planning for the future. They delay the process believing they can get to it at a later date,” Fellerman said. “But it’s important to make these decisions now so it doesn’t fall to the state to make them for you. Our firm understands the difficult process estate planning can be and we are ready to work with our clients to make it as painless as possible.”

Attorney Russin received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University in 2005. He worked on the therapeutic support staff at the Children’s Service Center in Wilkes-Barre before entering Widener University School of Law for his law degree.

While in law school, Russin was a research assistant for Contracts and Sports Law, helping the creation of a research paper that was presented at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Russin was also an Academic Support Fellow and a judicial clerk at the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas while in school.

Following law school, Russin opened the Russin Law Office in Kingston, PA, where he handled estate law, elder law, real estate transactions, and business development.

“I’m honored to be joining such an esteemed law firm as Fellerman & Ciarimboli,” said Russin. “This firm has helped the injured throughout Pennsylvania and I am pleased that I will be helping our clients plan for the most difficult time of their lives. However, they will see that once completed, the stress will be lifted from their shoulders. There’s no greater feeling than knowing that your family will be taken care of, no matter what, if something should happen to you.”
