There was a fatal Tractor-Trailer accident on Interstate 80 the morning of Friday, June 20th, 2014. Valley Regional Fire and Rescue personnel were on the scene and reported the accident happened in the Eastbound Lanes in Sugarloaf Township.
State police in Hazleton were investigating the crash, which happened around 10:15 am near the interstate exit at Route 93. As of now, no information has been released about the victim, but we’ll update the story when more information is available.
Other motorcycle riders that were at the scene reported seeing a helmet strapped to the back of the motorcycle, an older Japanese Cruiser, indicating that there’s a possibility the rider wasn’t wearing a helmet.
