About
Aaron Kaufer is a distinguished public servant with a decade of experience in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he represented the 120th Legislative District in Luzerne County from 2015 to 2024.
Known for his bipartisan leadership, Aaron made a lasting impact on state policy by addressing critical issues such as tax and energy reform, economic development, transportation, banking, welfare, and mental and behavioral health. He was instrumental in founding the PA HOPE (Heroin, Opioid, Prevention, and Education) Caucus, demonstrating his commitment to combating Pennsylvania’s opioid crisis and advocating for comprehensive solutions.
A proud graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Aaron went on to earn dual degrees in Government and Law, and International Affairs from Lafayette College in 2011. In 2020, he completed his Juris Doctor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, furthering his dedication to justice and public service.
Throughout his career, Aaron held several influential roles, including Deputy Chairman of the State House Majority Policy Committee and Republican Chair of the House Government Oversight Committee. His appointment to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) reflects his dedication to expanding opportunities for students across the state.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Aaron is deeply rooted in the Kingston community, where he lives with his wife, Annie, and their young daughter. A committed volunteer, Aaron is an active member of Temple Israel and has dedicated time to supporting the Jewish Community Center (JCC). He also honors his family heritage, reflecting on his connection to relatives who were victims of the Holocaust.
