A viewer was sideswiped on I-81 by a tractor-trailer, causing him to slam into a guardrail. Although the driver was cited, the viewer is interested in filing a claim. Truck accident lawyers Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli explain the best way to get in touch with them.
Dave Kuharchik: We’re back with “The Law and You” and tonight we’re talking about an Interstate 81 tractor-trailer accident. We hear about this a lot. Joining us today for the first day of Spring are attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli.
Ed Ciarimboli: And the roads right now are going to get worse, not better because of the freeze and the thaw. So everybody, take some extra precautions and take a little more time out there.
Dave: Yeah, you got to dodge through the potholes this time of the year.
Ed: You do.
Dave: All right, let’s get to the details on the question here from Jess from Pottsville. Jess says, “I was traveling on Route 81 and a tractor-trailer sideswiped my car. I slammed into the guardrail and was injured. The tractor-trailer stopped a mile up the road and was cited. I still have headaches and a sore back. What do I need to do to hire you?” So specifically, how can Jess get a hold of you?
Ed: Well Jess, we’ll come to you. It’s pretty simple. It sounds like you’re having some issues, some physical issues, and that’s one of the things we do all the time. If someone can’t get to us, we go to them all the time. We want to make it as simple and as easy as possible. You’re doing the right thing, this happened just a week ago, is that what it said?
Ed: It happened just a week ago so it’s still fairly new. We’re going to be able to go to the scene, we’re going to gather as much physical evidence as we can in order to support your claim that this tractor-trailer sideswiped you and pushed you into the guardrail. So, that’s really it. Just give us a call.
Greg Fellerman: And we also do electronic signups. We do Facetime, we can send you the documents. We have a lot of ways to sign people up when they need it. But the real big important thing with this case is you need to keep doing your treatment and you need to get to a lawyer because I can assure you the trucking company has a group of people out there working hard to protect their interests and you need to be protected.
Dave: And I know with these cases, you guys are always talking about time being of the essence. So, those who want to reach you now, how can they do that?
Greg: Give us a call at 570-714-HURT, you can see us on the web 714hurt.com.
Ed: And then, if there is something you want to know of some of the things you need to do immediately after any type of tractor-trailer crash, just send us a note. We’ll put it on our Facebook page or put it on Twitter so the public has better information on what to do after a crash.
Dave: You know, it’s good to see the change of the season has Greg smiling.
Greg: Ready for the dock.
Dave: Results matter with attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli. Guys, thanks, we’ll see you next time.
Ed: No problem.
