Haley Bianco: It’s that time of the day for “The Law & You.” Joining us remotely today, attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli. So nice to see both your smiling faces today.
Ed Ciarimboli: What’s up Haley! How are you?
Haley: Hanging in there. Nothing really new to report. So, just going day by day here, excited to get back to normal, as I’m sure you are. And somethings are starting to get back to normal, but you’re still answering our viewer questions every day, like this one from Nick in Swiftwater. He says “I am a tractor-trailer driver and was in an accident with another tractor-trailer. Snow or ice caused the other tractor-trailer to jackknife and go across the highway. I slammed into him and was injured. I know a lot of time has gone by but I think I need a lawyer. Is it too late?”
Ed: It is not too late, and interestingly enough, depending upon the make and model of the tractor and the engine, there may still be, even though we didn’t, we weren’t on the scene the day of or the day after, there still may be information on that engine. If it’s a 2016 Volvo we can still get data unless the data has been purposely overridden, which then there’s all kinds of issues then for the tractor-trailer company. The other thing is, tractor-trailers don’t jackknife because of ice or snow, tractor-trailers jackknife because somebody is not driving that appropriately in ice or snow. It’s not, the snow or ice doesn’t cause the jackknifing, it’s the over acceleration and over breaking or not running or running your engine break which loses traction, so there’s a multitude of driver issues that cause a jackknife in weather conditions like that so these are exact types of cases that we specialize in. Pick up the phone, give us a buzz.
Greg Fellerman: Yeah. It’s a good case, and we always tell you don’t wait. Pick up the phone because the sooner we get involved, the better result we can have for you. So, please don’t wait in these cases and we’d gladly help you out. Please call.
Haley: And they’re still working from home. Give them a call. Greg and Ed, thanks for your time. If you have any questions for the “Law And You” go to PAHomepage.com.
