What You Need to Know About the Opioid Lawsuits

Fellerman & Ciarimboli attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli are part of the national team of lawyers who are suing opioid manufacturers and distributors for their part in the current opioid epidemic sweeping the country. Here is what you need to know about the opioid lawsuits.

Dave Kuharchik: We’re talking about today the opioid lawsuits going on. We’re going to have our attorneys address that today on “The Law & You.” Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli, good to see you guys.

Ed Ciarimboli: Dave, thanks for having us.

Dave: So let’s talk about this because we know the opioid problem is very big right now and this involves a lawsuit. Kevin says, “I see that Wilkes-Barre just joined the opioid lawsuit. What can I do to get my township to join the lawsuit?” So I guess let’s start with those who’ve heard about this.

Ed: We’re part of the national team that is taking on the manufacturers and distributors of the opioids. It is an epidemic. Right now, more people are dying from opioids than car wrecks, cancer, heart disease, you name it. It is the number one killer in our country right now. And as the result of the actions of these manufacturers and distributors, we have been able to file a lawsuit against them to try and curb this epidemic. What can you do to get your township involved in this, just have them call us. We’ll come, we’ll meet with your township supervisors, solicitors, whoever it may be. And if you have a fire, police, ambulance department, or health and human services, you have been touched by this particular epidemic. It is very pervasive.

Greg Fellerman: It is very pervasive and this area has been particularly hard hit by it. We are at the forefront of it, working with the national team. But, this offer is open to counties, cities, municipalities, townships, whatever because if you have those services you have an economic damage as a result of this. And as the evidence is starting to come forth, it looks like the companies may have some liability. From what we are starting to see.

Dave: All right, you can call the attorneys here on “The Law & You,” or check them out online for more additional help. Results matter, attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciarimboli. Guys, thank so much.

Ed: Thank you.
